Realme has launched the Realme GT 5 Pro in China. The Realme GT 5 Pro is the successor of the Realme GT 5 Pro. It is a flagship killer smartphone packing the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, AMOLED 2K 144 Hz display, 50MP triple rear camera with periscope telephoto lens, and so on.
Realme has positioned the GT 5 Pro to compete against some other Chinese flagships including Xiaomi 14, Vivo X100 Pro, Honor 100 Pro, iQOO 12, etc. However, let’s see what this phone has to offer.
Realme GT 5 Pro Display
The GT 5 Pro packs a 6.78-inch BOE S1 OLED 3D curved display. The display supports 450 ppi and up to 2160 Hz touch sampling rate. The panel has a 2K (1264 x 2780 pixel) resolution and 8T LTPO technology enables it to run between 0.5 Hz to 144 Hz refresh rate. It also has a 1000 nits manual high brightness level and 4500 nits peak brightness level.
Realme GT 5 Pro Design
Realme GT 5 Pro is a stunning device at first glance. The center aluminum framed body gives a premium feel while the curved display makes it look more premium. The phone measures 161.7 x 75.1 x 9.2 mm and weighs 218 grams (leather variant) / 224 grams (glass variant). The display has a very slight bezel on all sides with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
The power button and the volume control keys are on the right side. Unfortunately, there is no alert slider like the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro. The circular camera module on the rear consists of a triple camera setup with a flashlight on the top center inside the ring. the camera module is surrounded by a golden-colored ring. The Realme branding is just under the camera module.
Realme GT 5 Pro Camera
Realme GT 5 Pro has a triple rear camera setup inside the circular camera module. The main camera is a 50 MP f/1.7 (Sony LYT-808) camera sensor. The 50 f/2.6 MP periscope telephoto lens can zoom up to 3X optical zoom while the 8 MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens has 112° FoV (Field of View). On the front, it has a 32 MP selfie camera with f/2.5 aperture.
The rear main camera can shoot up to 4K@30/60 fps and 1080P@30/60 fps with EIS and Dolby Vision support. The front camera is also capable of shooting 4K/1080P videos at 30 fps with EIS support.
Realme GT 5 Pro Performance
The Realme GT 5 Pro equips the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3(4 nm) chipset. It is a very powerful chipset with an octa-core processor and the max speed of the chip is 3.3 GHz. The phone has an Adreno 750 GPU. It is available in either 12 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB UFS 4.0 internal storage.

Other Features
The Realme GT 5 Pro runs on Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, a 12,000 mm2 heat conduction chamber, and an X-axis linear motor. It also has some premium features like W-Fi-7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, IR blaster, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1, gesture navigation system, and so on.
Battery
Under the hood, the phone packs a non-removable Li-poly 5400 mAh battery cell. The phone charges via a 100W USB Type-C 3.2 charging adapter and also supports 50W wireless charging.
Price and Availability
The Realme GT 5 Pro is available for pre-sale from December 7, 2023, to December 15, 2023. The phone is expected to get offline availability from the last week of December. Realme GT 5 price starts from 3298 CNY for the base 12/256 GB storage. The 16/256 GB, 16/512 GB, and 16/1 TB variants are priced at 3598 CNY, 3898 CNY, and 4198 CNY respectively. The global launch date and pricing are yet to be announced.
