Xiaomi‘s sub-brand, Redmi launched its last K series smartphone on January 2023 which is the Redmi K60. Now the company is ready to bring its upcoming Redmi K70 series. Redmi K70 has been leaked several times in recent days. The leak included some key specifications of the K70. Here is a rundown of all the leaked and rumored information.
Redmi K70
Redmi K70 is the base model of this series. The K70 will pack a modest hardware package in comparison to the more premium Redmi K70 Pro. It is expected that Redmi K70 will be a successor to its predecessor, the K60. Although the Redmi K60 was a very good smartphone.

Redmi K70 Display:
Redmi K70 will not get a significant upgrade in the display section according to the rumored information. According to a trusted source, the K70 might launch with a 6.67-inch OLED panel. It is also mentioned that it can be a 2K display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K60 launched with the same display size of 6.67-inch OLED panel.
A symmetrical bezel display is also expected to be seen this time. The rendered image of the Redmi K70 also indicates this. So it is nice to see smartphone brands considering symmetrical bezels in upper-mid-range phones too.
Redmi K70 Chipset:
Redmi K70 has been spotted in the Geekbench. According to the Geekbench listing, the K70 will be packing the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8300. Dimensity 8300 performed 1512 scores in single-core and 4886 scores in multi-core performance. It is an octa-core processor with 4×2.20 GHz, 3×3.20 GHz and 1×3.35 GHz.
Mali-G615 MC6 is the GPU in this phone to perform graphics rendering workloads. The model that was tested on Geekbench, is a 16 GB UFS 4.0 model. So, it is clear that it will have a 16 GB variant. But it is yet to be confirmed the base RAM variant of the K70.
Redmi K70 Camera:
The Redmi K70 is expected to come with a surprising triple rear camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP sensor. Eventually, the ultrawide and telephoto lenses are 13MP and 50MP. As per the leaked information, the telephoto lens used in the K70 is a 2x optical zoom lens. There is no confirmation about the OIS support of the main camera. It will be published once we get any information from credible sources. The front selfie camera is expected to be a 20MP one.
Redmi K70 Battery and Charging:
Xiaomi always stands first when it comes to charging speed. Xiaomi is also the first brand to introduce 120W charging speed. So, it is no wonder to see 120W charging speed from its sub-brand, Redmi. The Redmi K70 is rumored to pack a 5000 mAh battery with a super fast 120W charging speed.
Redmi K70 Other Features:
Redmi K70 will come with the latest Xiaomi HyperOS on top of Android 14 out of the box. It is expected to feature a lot of customization abilities and a new UI experience for the user. It might pack with some exciting features like IP68 water and dust resistance, dual stereo speakers, a metal frame, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, and Dolby Atmos.
Recently, white and black color variants of the K70 have been leaked. Till now there is no information about any other color variants except black and white.
Redmi K70 Release Date and Price:
However, there are no official press releases or posters mentioning the release date of the K70. But we can hope to see this phone getting launched in December. There is a very low chance to launch this phone in November as a handful number of phones are getting launched this month. But some rumors (including GSMArena) suggest that the phone may launch between the first to second week of December.
As for the pricing, there are no official or unofficial releases regarding this. But at least we can hope that as a Chinese phone, the price would be accessible for most of the consumers.
