OnePlus finally released the flagship OnePlus 12 in China. It packs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 like the recently launched Red Magic 9 Pro, iQOO 12, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Redmi K70 Pro etc. Among all the other phones, the OnePlus 12 is much improved than its predecessor.
OnePlus stepped into a new decade of the company with the launch of the OnePlus 12. The OnePlus 12 promises to deliver amazing hardware within a very competitive budget. It is expected to make the craze with its Hasselblad branding camera, improved performance, stable camera setup, top-of-the-line display, and extended software support.

OnePlus 12 comes with a 6.82-inch LTPO 120 Hz 3D curved OLED display. The display has a 2K (3160 x 1440 pixels) resolution with 510 ppi. It has a 600 nits typical brightness level although it can support 1600 nits in HBM. It has 4500 nits peak brightness level. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The selfie camera position has been shifted from the top left corner of the phone to the center.
OnePlus 12 measures 164.3 x 75.8 x 9.15 mm in dimension and weighs approximately 220 grams. The side frame of the phone is made of aluminum while the front and the back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The protection of IP65 water and dust resistance is also included. The phone is available in three color variants black, green, and silver.
As said before, it is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with Adreno 750 GPU. It is an octa-core chipset with a single cortex-x4 prime core running at 3.3 GHz clock speed.
OnePlus 12 has three RAM variants which are 12 GB / 16 GB / 24 GB. It has three storage options including 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB UFS 4.0. The addition of a 24 GB RAM variant is insane as very few brands include this amount of RAM in a flagship phone.
The camera of the OnePlus 12 is a very strong point as it has a 50 MP Sony LYT 808 primary camera, a 64 MP 3X optical zoom camera, and a 48 MP IMX581 camera. It is one of the first phones to be equipped with the all-new LYT 808 camera sensor. It is reported that the upcoming Realme GT 5 Pro will also come with this camera sensor. A single 32 MP selfie shooter is positioned at the center of the display.

The phone itself is a feature-packed device with a lot of upgraded hardware and software. It comes with X-axis dual stereo speakers, dual nano-SIM support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, all directional NFC support, IR blaster, ultra-thin under-display optical fingerprint scanner, and 5G network connectivity. It runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 (Global) / ColorOS 14 (China). It lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, and FM radio.
The OnePlus 12 is equipped with a non-removable 5,400 mAh Li-Poly battery cell. It supports up to 120W cable charging with a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. It also has super fast 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
The pricing of a phone is a very crucial thing for a successful phone. OnePlus has put a very competitive pricing this time with the OnePLus 12. The base 12GB/256GB is priced at 4,299 CNY while the 16GB/256GB is priced at 4,799 CNY. The 16GB/1TB variant costs around 5,299 CNY while the ultimate 24GB/1TB variant is priced at 5,799 CNY. It is almost 500-700 CNY less than the price of the Xiaomi 14 Pro for the same storage and much better hardware.
